I'm Evan, a full-stack developer living in Portland, Oregon. I spend most of my time building web apps — the kind where the code is still readable six months later and the UX doesn't make people want to close the tab.

Laravel has been my go-to for years. It fits the way I think: structured enough to keep things sane, flexible enough to not get in the way. I also build mobile apps with React Native, which means I can take a project from API to production app without handing it off to someone else.

When I'm not in front of a computer, I'm usually out with my camera in the city or on a trail somewhere in the PNW. Photography has been a lifelong passion — I love the challenge of finding a good shot as much as I love solving a hard problem. The Pacific Northwest is a pretty great place to do both.
